Our Story

Recruiting built on technical credibility.

Vertex was founded in 2018 by Daniel Reyes, a former software engineer who spent years watching agencies send unqualified candidates, misrepresent roles, and disappear after placement. He built Vertex to do the opposite.

From day one, we hired recruiters who came from technical backgrounds — engineers, DevOps practitioners, data professionals. People who could read a resume and actually know what they were looking at.

Today, Vertex has placed over 1,200 engineers at companies ranging from seed-stage startups to Fortune 500s. Our 94% 12-month retention rate isn't an accident — it's the result of a process built around fit, not speed.

We're based in Austin, TX, and place engineers nationwide — remote, hybrid, and on-site.
